TVS Apache Review

According to different surveys conducted by many organizations, TVS Apache is found to be one of the elect motorcycles, which has been given the highest rank in A-Class segment. In the year 2006 the bike has been awarded the bike of the year award by CNBC-18 Autocar Awards. The bike has a 150 cc engine and also a design more of an aerodynamic look as its headlights have a down arrow like shape.
TVS Apache has a 16 litre fuel tank which gives Apache a fulsome and heavy front look, at par with the other heavy bikes look. Technical details:
TVS Apache has a 4 stroke, OHC type air cooled, 147.50 cc engine with maximum power of 9.5 kW (13.5 bhp) @ 8500 rpm and the 12.3 Nm @ 6000 rpm maximum torque. It has a single cylinder structure for its strokes. The bike has two start mechanisms: the kick start and the Electric start.

Apache is a 136 kg motor bike with a 1260 mm wheel base. Its fuel tank capacity is 16 litres. The front brake is a Disc Brake with 240 mm diameter and the rear brake is a drum brake with 130 mm diameter. The heavy and firm grip front and rear tyres come with a specification of, for front tyre: 90 x 90 x 17” for Kick-Start and the same for poked Wheel Self-Start and for the rear tyre a 100/80 X 18 – 90/90 X 18”.

Other features:
For its Transmission system the bike has a 5 speed constant mesh type gears and a double cradle clutch. It has a front telescopic fork type 105 mm Suspensions at the front and a Monotube inverted gas filled shox (MIG) at the rear. The streamlined body structure and the suitably fitting triangular front mudguard add to smooth riding.
